WHAT WE DO

Dunn Area Committee of 100, Inc. provides loans for small businesses in Dunn and surrounding areas. The program lends funds to eligible recipients that meet the following criteria: are a community development project; establish a new business; create or save jobs; assist businesses that will employ farm families or displaced farm workers; have been turned down by two banks or lending institutions; and are located in the service area. 

According to the program guidelines, all money must be lent in rural areas where the population is less than 25,000.

The maximum loan amount is $75,000 and is determined by eligibility.

A loan committee of three area bankers (with over 100 years of lending experience), will determine if you qualify. The Dunn Area Committee of 100, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Lender.

USDA Eligibility

Rural areas are any areas other than:

(1) A city or town that has a population of greater than 50,000 inhabitants; and 

(2) The urbanized area contiguous and adjacent to such a city or town, as defined by the U.S. Bureau of the Census using the latest decennial census of the United States.

Loan Amount

Loans of up to $75,000 for clients meeting eligibility guidelines.

The Dunn Area Committee of 100, Inc. operates in Dunn and surrounding counties in rural areas where population is less than 25,000.

Committee Guidelines

A loan committee of three area bankers and the Director of the Dunn Area Committee of 100, Inc. will determine if you qualify for a loan. The Dunn Area Committee of 100, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Lender.

The Dunn Area Committee of 100 also administers  the Triangle South Enterprise Center (TSEC) which is a small business incubator located at 600 South Magnolia Avenue in Dunn, North Carolina. We are the second oldest business incubator in the state. With 18,500 square feet, TSEC has the space for new and growing business to blossom. TSEC rents office spaces, large and small, at below market rate to help guide small business startups in the area. Flexible lease terms and space arrangements are available to accommodate the needs of each tenant company. Shared support services are available on an optional basis, including free wi-fi, conference room use, mail and package delivery through our business office, as well as on-going relationships with a business counselor at the Small Business Center.

The Small Business Center provides on-site counseling services, seminars, workshops, and other assistance to businesses located in the Triangle South Enterprise Center, Harnett County, and surrounding areas.

The Triangle South Enterprise Center is committed to the success of its tenant companies. It is also committed to the creation of business opportunities and jobs and improving the quality of life in the area.​

TSEC is administered by the Dunn Area Committee of 100, Inc. and is assisted by Central Carolina Community College and its Small Business Center.
